I am considering buying a guitar trainer. I cannot decide between the Tascam GT2 or the Boss Micro BR. Does anyone have any experience of using either of them and would like to comment?

Hi there. I used to have a Tascam GT2 a few years back, and it was very convenient and useful. I remember using it to learn Still Got The Blues By Gary Moore, and I doubt I could have done so without being able to slow it down to be able to work out the fast bits! There's also a new Tascam with MP3 capability, if that's your kind of thing. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Thanks for the replies. I wil try the Audacity option for now seing as it is free. I am particularly interested in being able to slow down music which is possible with Audacity. Happy New Year to everyone.

Hi Midimike. I use a programme called "Best Practice". It'll slow the track down and key change it for you. Invaluable when your learning complicated solos.
