YAMAHA PSR 3000 DISPLAY

My PSR 3000 is about 8 months old and last week I found the display dull and unreadable .I turned the display setting knob at the rear panel and the display comes on clean and bright but its not constant. At the next gig, the display returmns to the dull state when switched on.
Can anyone tell me the reason for this. I honestly dont remember mishandling the keyboard ever.

Hi there, Just a thought Try This (If not already)
Press these Buttons Function>Utility>Tab>Config 2
Then press button 2 up or down to suit............Pete.

Thank you Pete ......... yes I did try that, but I think its some loose connection at the manual control. For the present , I've wedged in a bit of a matchstick and the display is holding !!!
