Question Hi Cat, I was wondering if you could remove all the lead guitar solos and the fiddle solos from this midimart backing track: " Who's Cheatin Who". As I play lead guitar myself I really don't need those solos. I didn't think one could remove these items but after reading your forum I'm hoping that you can help me. Thanks C
Answer Hi C, What you sent me was the MP3 backing track. An MP3 file is an audio file. An audio file can not be edited in the same manner as a MIDI file can be. An audio file is a recording of actual sound whereas a MIDI file contains no sound at all. It simply contains instructions to tell a sound module ( or your computer sound card) what synthesized sound to play, how loud to play it and when to stop playing it.
I have downloaded the MIDI file version of the song that the MP3 was created from. I have muted the parts you want and have sent the file to you. Now all you need to do is convert the file to MP3. Cat >^.^<
