Hi Folks Having recently discovered this site, all I can say is congratulations Glenn, superb site, and super quality midi files - there's so much rubbish around these days!
I play keyboard (Yamaha Tyros 1) and sometimes use midi files as backing tracks. Many of the tunes I either know the melody, can pick it out or have the score for. It would however be very useful to have a melody track in all the midis (some do), as I need the "dots" for most of what I play and the keyboard has the facility to display the score on the LCD screen - therefore save on turning pages and looking for a piece of music. Just a single line melody would do, and I actually mute the track so that it does not play -- I do that!!
Would anyone else find this facility useful? I appreciate it's more work but presumably there must be the melody there at some stage to be able to make the backing.
Regards
Mike

We have had this suggested many times before....
I have no objectives to the melody line, but when MidiMart started (MinvecUK), we were primarily a backing tracks publisher and obviously dedicated just to the music of a track and therefore no melody line.
We have continued the tradition of MinvecUK in this way, and are still a backing track producer. We have many many muso's coming for files to take away (mainly solo singers who need mp3 on mini-disc) and do not need the melody line.
There are so many files on site not that it would take forever to produce the melody line on them. Of course it would be easier for future tracks but we - like I say are backing track producers and not karaoke...... Yuk..!!!!

I was wondering if one of the Admins or Moderators could tell me to find the post that told you how to remove the fade out from midi tracks , I remember reading it and thinking thats brilliant because when compiling the tracks they have to have an end and the fade is edited to the track later so if you could help me get this many thanks
