My big reservation about this is that it looks very much like pyramid selling.

Is that right, Ziggy? I only ask as I was under the impression such practices were outlawed these days in the UK and Ireland. I could well be wrong, though, but I think this to be the case.
Perhaps someone could clarify?

Hi everyone I feel it would be proper to leave this super site free of advertising business opportunities.unless ofcourse we can open a new section only for these and thousands iof other ads that will pour in . Your decision, Pat .

I tend to agree with Shyam on this one. Surely this is not what the forum is for. IMHO allow one and before long we'll be wading through a board full of adverts. Just my opinion, how do the rest of you feel?

I see your point lads.
But Brent in fairness to him is not breaking any existing rules. He has after all placed his post here in the Anything You Like section.
However, although I do appreciate the need to get certain messages across we are a forum that concentrates on music and therefore do not wish for or encourage more of this type of advertising.
So please let that be the last of such advertising.

Hi Pat,
And others, whilst not wanting to kill off entrepreneurial (that was difficult to spell!) spirit I feel the same about advertising on a site dedicated to MIDI. Perhaps it should be a forum rule, it is on others.
IMHO JohnG.

You are right of course but we don't want to make rules unless really necessary and would hope members will simply appreciate we are dedicated to music, namely midi and other forms of backing tracks, MP3, for example, and indeed other areas of the genre. However, if a need for such a rule is deemed necessary then it will be introduced.

Perhaps someone could clarify? I didn't realise it had been outlawed, (I wondered why I hadn't seen any other examples of it recently, lol), but I looked at the website & clicked on enrolment incentives & thought hmm, this has a familiar ring. Maybe I'm wrong, but that was my first impression. Having said that, that's not to say that it's not a good product. I guess you just have to go with what feels right.
