Did anyone watch the final of the X factor at the weekend??? i watched the repeat on Sunday and i can`t help but wonder first of all how these 2 guys got to the final i thought the 2 girls were much better by miles but for the Welsh guy to lose out to the scot was really surprising.Anyone 1 else have any thoughts on this now over rated talent show

The young lad that won it was singing out of key, the welsh lad Rhydian had a great powerful voice and should of won, i think the producers are more bothered about the format of the show than they are the contestants, and creaming it with the money from the phone voting. Bring back Opportunity Knocks!!

I'm Scottish and even I couldn't believe that Leon was in the final as his pitch and timing was horrendous. Rhydian ,the Welshman was far superior although I thought he didn't progress as much during the final weeks. For me I give the mature Nikki my vote. Bigmike

Well if you ask me Johnny Rocko was robbed ! LOL I see they gave him a small spot at the end of the show for fear of waking up next to a horses head in their beds.
In all honesty you will see more talent at your local pantomime. I know that most people would say that Rhydian should have won but to me his stage presence was a little strange to say the least. There seemed to be something of the Da Vinci code about him.

I feel I must respond to this.
Just before the X-Factor started, there was a program called "Westlife - Live", yes they were miming, but that is not the point.
The producer gave reference to the X-Factor and then went over live to Simon sitting on the sofa with Lewie.
Simon then proceeded to say, "Please watch the X-Factor - There will be an Upset"..... This leads me to believe that the whole program was fixed.....
Even stranger..... and stranger. Why would he say this, or was it me hearing things....?

I have to put in my tuppence worth.Firstly,i didn't think any of the "artistes"were good enough, and i agree with some of you guys that nikki was the only one with a singing voice.Rhydian and Leone both had problems with pitching maybe due to lack of monitors,i don't know. Some of the comments from the judges beggared belief (world class)etc. The show is designed to extract as much money out of joe public as possible, and it certainly achieved that. It's hard to believe that there are so many gullible people in this country that vote, many times over, don't they realise they're only adding to Simon Cowell's millions? And the noise from the audience was so annoying. It's an over hyped load of rubbish!!!!

As we are putting our opinions forward on this I personally think the Welsh lad with the strange hair was the better of the final two. I don't agree with comments that Nicky deserved to win because she's considered to possess the best voice, she certainly has a great voice, alright, but please bare in mind that it is called The X Factor, so it doesn't necessarily follow that those perceived the "best singer" is going to win. In the end it's all about who is liked more, and according to the votes the Scots lad was liked above all others. Young Rydian will go further than any of them in my view, anyway. The guy is sorted so good luck to him.

OK I'll have to have my say as well. I agree that Rhydian was by far the best performer (but I would being Welsh), he wasnt always right on the pitch, but he's a showman, and thats what its all about. He will be around for a long time I have no doubt.
