Angela has a casio CT 657 about 10 years old which doesn't have "midi out"
We bought her a 2nd hand Yamaha PSR-195 with midi in/out.
The problem we find is Angela has some great tunes she picks out on the Casio, but we can't duplicate the beat bank with the Yamaha.
I want to get Angela's Casio tunes to Midi. At the moment I can only do a straight "record" to our music program ( Apple Garageband )
I'm prepared to spend a little money on this as long as I get good value. I'm thinking of selling the Yamaha and look for another Casio.
Any thoughts?
Another option is to ask real nice on the forum and send a recorded file to one of you talented experts with all the hi-tech gear, who might arrange it for her. Another major problem we have is between me not being musical, and Angela being only 10, our keyboard talent is suspect at best.

How do you record if there is no midi out on the Casio ? It is hard to do unless you can record in real time. Some older Casio tend to send pattern info and chord changes rather than note data.
Any luck with the L/H guitar.

You can probably get a midi retrofit for the Casio, it's pretty simple, check on the net.

Hi Thingyy Yes, we record in real time which makes it lots of fun for a couple beginners. Hey Gibbo. That's a brilliant idea! When I bought the Casio in 1994-ish there was an identical model with midi in/out . I thought why would I ever want to plug a keyboard in to a computer. and saved a few dollars. ( It was a christmas present for my then girlfriend )... And if you're wondering why I still have it... she is now my wife. cheers...wayne
