Just seen kids wearing the Roller Shoe at the mall.
Kiosk venters are seducing young kids and their parents into
learning how not to walk.
In order to walk in the shoe without using the heel roller, kids
have to shuffle/slide forward on the ball of their foot only.
By not using the heel as part of the walk, kids are now learning to
walk incorrectly as if they are always walking on ice.
Don't like it at all.

My nephew has a pair. It seems like it would be fun for the kids ... but geeezz, for parents, they are expensive shoes. And the kids are not allowed to wear them in school (well, I don't think they are) so they don't get to wear them all that often.
But kids are so into gadgets these days, aren't they.
I appreciate that you mentioned the fact that they may learn to walk incorrectly. Never thought of that.
My son doesn't have a pair. If he wants them, he'd better save his money because I won't be buying them.
As a matter of fact, my son will be able to take driving lessons next year (so he won't need to spend his money on these shoes) and I've encouraged (hmmm, forced ??!!! ) him to save his money since elementary school for his own car. So he's been saving for many years (not that he has lots) but it will be put to good use and make him feel better that he has achieved buying his own wee car all on his own. Hopefully, he will not forget how to walk though ;-))
