I had put in an Avatar in my profile and the "heart with out flowing musical notes" could be seen, but of late the Avatar is missing. Any reason for this? Could someone let me know why ?

sounds to me that either the site you originally linked the avatar from has moved or deleted it

or the folder no longer exists on that particular server


UPDATE: File no longer exists on the server....... time to get anoter avatar

Hey Alan, What prg do you use to create your gifs? I use Ulead Gif Animator and I have the extra affects like the fades and slides you are using on your own. My problem often times is keeping file size down. So many places don't allow much for file size.

Hi Cat

For my graphic work, I use Adobe PhotoShop Pro and Jasc Paint Shop Pro.

For assembling animations, I normally use Jasc Animation Shop. It has an optimization menu to help reduce file size. Although I've played with Ulead stuff in the past, I don't remember if it has a similar function.

Yes it does. Other than degrading colors, ( using less colors) I'm not sure what other things can be done to make a file smalller and still retain all of the frames I want.

I have a few things to pick your brain about in the computer area, but not right now. I'll be gone for a couple weeks and when I get back I'll have to remember what it was I wanted to ask you about. LOL!!
