software downloads

Hi I have tried downloading the sequencer and otehr software from the site but my computer says it is not compatible and won't installl it - I am running Windows XP Professional - is the software too old to run under that or do I have some other problem?

Hi Roy....

I too have XP and I have most of the downloads installed on my PC and have no problems....

I also run the sequencer (Jazz Sequencer) & Vanbasco, just to test the files before I put them on site...... All seems well this end....!!!

Just a thought - XP may not run some programs because of the different way XP works or the individual way that it is set up etc. However, not all is lost...... Older programs need to run in Compatible mode (95, 98, Me). The way to do this is to right click on the actual program file (.exe usually) or the shortcut if the program installed - and select the Tab on the dialog box marked Compatilility. Tick the box marked "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and pick windows 98 from the drop down box.

A more detailed way is described in the Help and Support shortcut - type in "Getting older programs to run on Windows XP" and follow the method.

Hope this sorts out your issue.

I did try that on not one, but 2 PCs (both running XP pro) and still got nowhere - same result as before

I've tried installing all my software (for midi files) using xp pro and it worked out fine. I am currently using Edirol vsc 3.2,
