i,ve made my first attempt at using ti upload portal i am getting an ..invalid referer message what am i doing wrong???

Are you seeing something like the following [ I have bolded the important bits]: Success The following files were successfully uploaded : 3-Steps-2-Heavennk.mid The full url link to be placed on the FORUM is: www.midimart.net/uploads/file.ext _______________________________________________ if so you now need to ad the two important parts together. ie, www.midimart.net/uploads/3-Steps-2-Heavennk.midNB: Note the inclusion of the forward slash. Let me know if this helps. |

No Pat i,m not even getting that far, I,ve put the 2 parts together clicked on submit and nothing happens ..i know its going ta be something stupid so i,m away to get meself a trained monkey or ask my 3year old (LOL ) anybody wanna buy a computer 1 useless owner

Hi Dingadong Sorry to hear you having problems again. I'm sure your not that bad a PC owner, if you are I will have to report you to the R.S.P.C.P.C's. As for uploading I had loads of problems too, but eventually I did manage it. Anyway if you never had a PC none of us could chat to you now could we. Smile and Midimart smiles with you |

Dingadong..... I am presuming you have ZIPPED the 2 parts and not just sent them like -lazybonez.mid/help.mid as this wont work.....
The best thing is to zip both files into the same zip folder and post.
Sometimes the "Success" Page will deliver a file extension with nnn or similar. You must include these "nnn" exactly as it reads on the "Success" Page. The easiest way to do this is copy and pase......
The only other reason for getting an error is - The portal will only accept..... zip, mid, kar, txt anything other than these file extensions will NOT be accepted.....
Let me know what files you have sent and I will check that they are on our server....

heres exactly wat i,m doing ....this was kindly sent to me by Jimmy G last night
1. Zip the file you want to upload.
If you can't zip it forget about this step
2 Go to the upload portal and click browse.
Find the zipped file or the the file on you computer you want to upload
Click on it so that its name appears in the box then click submit.
After a short time a message should appear saying upload sucessful.
im getting as far as the short message it reads ....invalid referrer... thats it ,i know i,m gonna kick meself when i eventually git it rite ...

What are the titles DD.... There are some new additions to the Portal but there is one with NewWinRARZIParchive.zip would this be yours and you are trying to give it another name?  ? |

Check that you are sending and receiving cookies on your Browser....... This could be stopping you..... If not mate just zip the files and send them to mail@midimart.net and I'll send you the link..... Smile even if it hurts..... |

Another thing is that it don't accept .RAR files, try to post them one at a time and just use the standard .mid ext......
I will amend the Portal to accept RAR files soon....
