g/day folks.just to let you know i am thrilled with the help iv'e been getting in from the members re. midi backing & i am looking at all my options from all the info received, i am still out there playing for the oldies giving hour long sessions, my biggest problem is that a fair few of the folks i am playing to look younger than me which is always a bit of a worry.what i was looking for in midis is pretty varied eg. a bit of old time singalong stuff which i try to make medleys of but those songs are a bit harder to get eg 40's, 50's, also any popular country songs always go down well. elvis is another favourite, i have some of these midis but its always good to have a few extras. i am using cakewalk to do a bit of editing such as tempo, transposing etc which is still a learning curve for me & i'm able to make them sound acceptable & with the great advice iv'e been getting from the members regards to the recording i am going in the right direction.anyway thanks for hearing me out, midimart has certainly given me heaps to do .ps i love john denver songs but thy seem to be harder to come across, any way i hope i dont ramble on to much, so from perth w australia the worlds most isolated city. kind regards simmo
