Right! No, the Kawai Q80EX won't work for him, it's just a player with no onboard sounds. Now that I know exactly what he needs I'll keep a lookout for you. There's was an SD35 on American Ebay a little while back, they seem to go pretty quickly. Cheers, Dave. Here's something that might work; Roland MT 90 S MIDI Music Player

I have 2 kawai ex's. Replaced them with a laptop mainly because of having to carry floppies . I had more flexability using 2 sequencers switchable to the sound module than using sets in the laptop.

Cheerz weego..............if you find it let me know.................thanx also gibbo for your e bay link I'll look into that as well ............a laptop would be an option with the right software ..... but you'd pay big bucks for a used laptop over here...........unless maybe someone has one lying around somewhere or in the attic and has no use for it .........maybe we could deal........ ;D

As far as I'm aware a foot switch can be attatched to any mini disk player via the play/pause button.....................that's how mine was setup anyway......................

Hi shezza....sorry for not getting back to you sooner...I was in Dublin and met up with larryc at one of his gigs...great night it was too.....any way, back to the minidisc players...I have two sony JE330 players and a mate of mine who works for British Telecom modified them for me...basically it works of the play/pause buttons...he's done a few for other singers as well...works real fine once you get the hang of it....I had teething problems with them at the start but they're ok now

Hi....shanless thnx for the info sounds like a good idea what i do is add a extra 10 secs of nothing onto each track except for the ones that the next track is gonna play straight away this gives me time to press the pause button but still a footswitch will look more professional

I can change key, tempo and even remove instruments where necessary.

Im still looking for a mp3 player thats like me minidisc midi hifi separate size nice text display biggish control buttons the only thing i seen that was close was a netgear mp3 player but it was all remote control

Hi Tiny, Just want to ask your opinion. I've been using Roland MC 50 mk 11 and SC 55 mk 11 for my job as a musician for almost 15 years and the problem I am encountering is the Alpha Dial, it gets worn out everytime. My friend recommended that I have to use Laptop instead of the old sequencer. Please advice me on this subject. I love using the Mc 50. Thanx nmore power to you
