Some people have asked me how I do URL links that look neat and tidy (like this) instead of ugly (like this: www.google.com). The ugly URLs are easier because you don't have to add any BBcode markup to them - you just enter a URL in and the forum software converts it into a clickable link automatically - similar to the way Outlook Express does it.
If "BBcode" and "markup" are "Huh?" to you... I'm talking about what lets you bold, underline, italicise, and link stuff.
The syntactically proper way of doing this - that is, without the forum software doing its conversion - is to enter (note I've placed a space in the commands so they're not converted):
