So sad to hear of the death of Rod Allen the lead singer and bass guitarist of the sixties group, The Fortunes, from liver cancer. Rod was only diagnosed two months ago and resigned from the group at the New Year. His was the distinctive vocals on such hits as 'You've got your troubles', 'Here it comes again' and' Freedom come Freedom go'. Sadly missed. Bigmike

That is sad news, The Fortunes were one of the great bands of the sixties and one of my favourites. I found this clip of them performing live, great harmonies! You've Got Your TroublesCheers John

Sad news, for sure. He had a most remarkable, distinguished voice and as John mentions the harmonies we amazing with his band.
Thanks bigmike for letting us know.
Thanks John for the youtube link.

Roy, forgive the pun, but you were one of the fortunate ones. I'd love to have seen them live.
