Country fans will be saddened to hear that Porter Wagoner past away last Sunday due to his battle with cancer. One song of his that older country singers will probably recall is Somewhere Between. RIP Porter Wagoner.

What a terrible loss to the world of country music. A true legend of the genre and will be sorely missed.

I never heard of the passing of Porter Wagoner till I read it on Rosybud's post just now. I am deeply saddened to hear this news, having been a Country fan all my life. I have several of his LP's and my favourite songs of his are "Carroll County Accident" and "Jeannie's Afraid of The Dark" which he recorded with Dolly Parton. He was first to introduce Dolly P. to the US TV audiences on his acclaimed TV shows in the early 60's.
Another Country giant goes home.......RIP
Peter
