I don't know if anyone has paid attention, but one of the Drifters, a founding member, passed away recently. His name was Bill
Pinkney. In the past, I had worked with him and his group of the
Drifters. There were 3 or 4 of these groups working as the Drifters. I was never disappointed by their performances. Time marches on and he will be missed.

Well I must say that I was brought up with the Drifters music, my family loved their upbeat brassy sound.

alway's a good crowed pulling band, I played butlins 60 s weekends and watched drifters many times he will be sadly missed but the music will alway's carry on
