A nice young man arrives at the pearly gates of heaven only to be greeted by St Peter to tell him he could not enter the kingdom of heaven due to the fact he was the first person on earth to die of aids .
"But why can't I go in " proclaimed the young man !
"Well" said St Peter " You are the first person to die of this new disease , and we simply do not have a jacket for aids , you see , everybody here is given a different colour jacket to wear, if you look though the gates you will see for your-self ".
Sure enough the young man looked through the gates , and he saw people walking about in different coloured jackets .
"But what is the significance of the coloured jackets", he asked.
St Peter explained each colour represented how each person met their demise , Blue for pneumonia , Green for road accident , and so on , every colour was attributed to the way they met their deaths.
"We simply do not have a jacket for aids " he said .
"But I know you were a good man , so I will try to find a jacket in our terrestrial wardrobe ".
St Peter disappeared in to the terrestrial wardrobe whilst the young man anxiously waited , half an hour had gone by , when he returned with a rather large white coat with a red cross on the back .
"Try this on , and see if it fits".
Well , not wishing to be rejected again , the young man told St Peter that it fitted beautifully , although the coat went down to his knees.
On hearing this St Peter opened the gates and let the young man in to heaven , he was so happy .
It was then people started pointing at him and whispering "Who is that".
St Peter proclaimed……..” Ladies and gentlemen , this is our first aids man”................................
