Hi Guys and Gals,
A true story - 'Fact is stranger than fiction !'
I am a German Shepherd Dog fanatic - even before my music!! - and on a Sunday Morning, I train with the local Police Force Dog Section, and usually do a 10 mile track. (Click on the little house on the left to see my dogs!).
Over the years, I have become quite friendly with some of the handlers, and this story was related to me last Sunday.
This handler has his 'Service Dog' and also a pet, that is his retired Service Dog who stays at home. His neighbours are a couple of young schoolteachers with a couple of small children. They hate dogs. They complain about the dogs barking...when a dog does a pooh on the back lawn and he doesnt clean it up instantly (its his lawn !!). Etc, Etc. They ring his Chief Constable about twice a month on average.
Last week he came home at about 2pm, and found his old dog, with next doors white rabbit between his paws, covered in blood and dirt. He panics!!! - They are still at school, so a brainwave...he gets the rabbit, Cleans it up with Fairy Liquid in the kitchen sink, blow dries it with his wifes hair dryer, and creeps round next door, and puts it back in its cage.
At 5pm he goes off to pick up his wife from TESCO, where she works as a cashier, and comes home - to see a police car outside his neighbours house. Curiosity grabs him, so he messes about in the front garden until a colleague comes out from next door.
'Whats up, Jim?' - he asks .
'Oh, just some childish prank! - Your neighbours rabbit died a couple of weeks ago, and someone has dug it up, cleaned it up, and put it back in its cage !!!!'
What a cracker !!!!
Regards,
Tony
