G'Day greetings from downunder everyone it's great to be here & firstly I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year ... all the very best to each & everyone of you for 2008 Yes I live in Australia (The West)...have a few acres amoungst the gum trees..my neighbors are kangaroo's & the odd possum....unfortunately no cuddly koala's but gotta be aware of those dugites...been a muso for as long as I can remember...I think I was born with a microphone in hand... I started off in Piano bars but felt the songs were too sad & people were crying in their pretzels lol....had my own band back in the 80's which lasted just a few years....tried solo for a while & still couldn't find my feet so to speak...even tried my hand at Karaoke hostessing which surprised me really 3 years working 6 nights a week but just between you & I....I could only take so much of "Like A Virgin " & "I Will Survive" :-/desperately I needed to get back into the live circuit so I put together a sequenced duo....12 years later still going strong. yes!!!! I'm married with children have a dog & don't drive a Mercedes Benz but I'm working on that one ;D

G'day Dizzy, a big welcome from sandgroper country WA. i am sure you will enjoy your time with Midimart as have since becoming a fairly newby myself, you will find the folks here as helpful & friendly to a point where its like being a member of a big family & speaking for myself the assistance i have had personally ie. tech problems, advice etc since joining has saved me months of struggling over the computer on my own trying to resolve what turned out to be fairly simple issues, being a bit of an old crusty didn't help as well, but everyone has been so good, the thing is regardless of age we all share the same passion for music & performing so i say once more, welcome. regards simmo

Hey Jacquie, I'm pretty sure Dizzy is actually a chap-ess! (She has the Female gender symbol on her profile.) And yes, you're quite right, we'll have to come up with a new nickname for you now... just kidding! Hope you get a giggle out of this, it's well-intended and just a quick gag to make you smile. Cheers, Dave.

Hi Dizzy!
Welcome to the forum! I'm a sax player and a new member myself. I live in North Carolina, USA.
There are lots of very knowledgeable people here, so if you ever need to know anything, just ask! I've posted several questions so far and received great responses.
Hope to hear you soon on the member's stage!
Regards,
Jeff
