Hi, My name's Katrina, and I've been told I have to write on here or I'll get chucked out..!!! ;D
I live in Cyprus, I'm a musician, and I LOVE the midi's on this site...I play the guitar, and use the midis as backing music, and I sing, in hotels mainly...
Okay, I have nine more of these posts to make before I get thrown off, or something...so I'll save the information about pumpkins and orange juice for tomorrow...

Hi Katrina, A big welcome from me too. Until now I was the only member of the forum living (for some of the time) in Cyprus so it's good to know I'm no longer alone. You'll find the guys and gals here are a great bunch. I'm in the U.K. until the end of January so I'm missing the sunshine. Where are you based on the Island?

Hi Bigmike, I was actually born in Glasgow, and I remember it being cold..!! My mum's Irish and my dad's Cypriot, but I lived in Liverpool most of my life...!! ..
Hi Roger, maybe we know each other..?? Are you a musician..?? I live and work in Limassol, and have done so for the last 20 years. Do you know the Appolonia, the Mediterranean and the Arsinoe Hotels..?? It is still sunny here, but chilly..[well 'our' chilly is 22 degrees]..!!

Katrina,I actually stayed in the Arsinoe hotel whilst on holiday in 2000. I seem to remember there was a nightclub below it that had a very good transvestite comedian,Titty Le Camp, who did great impressions of Dusty Springfield and Julie Andrews.Other places I liked were The Sherwood where the vocal chords were lubricated and tested on the karaoke.We found the Cypriots to be very friendly people and me and the missus intend going back there in the near future

Yeah Bigmike, that's me, Titty Le Camp..!!! [not really]... The Nightclub is Rosie O'Grady's, and it used to have all different acts on , but now it's just a disco.. I play in the hotel every Sunday...It's a wild night there..They're all 80 years old at the moment, but they can't half move..!! Next time you and the missus come to Cyprus, you'll have to come and see me..I work at a great bar called Harley's on Fridays and Saturdays too...The owners have massive big Harley Davison bikes, and exhaust pipes etc on the walls..It's a good place to play..

Dont worry about a few post's, the guy's on here are brilliant at making people feel welcome.
I only joined myself a few weeks ago. I was more than a little nervous about posting too but as soon as you open up and get involved in the site, you quickly discover that you find your part of a new extended family.
Just wait till the aussies wake up you'll be answering welcome posts left right and centre.
If you read my intro thread you will see exactly what I mean. You are certainly well travelled

If the nick name for Glaswiegians is Weego's and Liverpudlians is Scousers and you now live in Cyprus (Cypriots). Then by my reckoning that must make you a Wee-Scouse-Riot and therefore a natural entertainer.
Any way Katrina I just wanted to join the others in wishing you a warm welcome to the site. There is a lot more on the site than just Midi Files brilliant though they are there's also , Kit reviews, info on how Midi works, how to edit Midis, Jokes, GUitar forum, Keyboard forum, The list is endless. But the real treasure of the site are the diamonds that our its members and I can see that we've just added another Gem.

Hi Katrina, I've been a working musician for more years than I care to remember although just lately it's more of a hobby than a job. I semi-retired seven years ago and now live some of the time in the North, near to Kyrenia and when in England in Derbyshire. Next time I'm in Limassol I'll try to catch your act. I've stayed at the Mediterranean on two occasions but the last time was around ten or eleven years ago so I think that may have been before you started working there. I hope you're having a good Christmas and will save me some sunshine for the end of January.

Hi Katrina..welcome ...never been to Cyprus but played in many a greek restaurant in sunny Birmingham UK in one of my past musical journeys!!..they were mainly Greek Cypriots and had the Bazouki blaring in my left ear ha!ha!...good fun though!!....hope you have a good year..let me know if more people going to spain or cyprus!!....chuckle x
