I'm hopeful some of you can help. I want to join some mp3 songs together so there is no spaces between them, I need them to run immediately into each other like melodies but only with full (MP3) tracks. I have no notion where to start with this as I predominately use only midi but I do like using MP3s for the Elvis show. Any guidance for this idiot would be welcome. Free software would be the preferred way to go I will also need to trim certain MP3s as some have long, silent intros.

Levi, mate, that is brilliant. I have downloaded audacity and loaded an MP3, I performed one cut at the beginning but for some reason the cutting thing will only work once and is then "disabled!"
What am I doing wrong?

i think you may have to register it.if you have cakewalk or cubase or one of the big name sequencers, you should be able to use wav files.convert your tracks to wav.import them to different tracks, and move them so they align where you want them.then export all as one track.convert back to mp3,and job done.i know this may sound long winded but you have more control over your tracks with a big name program.hope this might help you. cheers steve. p.s i forgot to say record as one track then export.
