Hi all,
I just joined last night in the course of signing up to MidiMart and so far I've been very impressed with the quality of the service and of the midis.
I play keyboard (badly) and mainly at home but I get huge pleasure from it. It's a hobby really as I'm 59 and recently retired. I'd love to be able to play in public with a group but lack the confidence to do so as I don't play by ear and need sheet music in front of me. Also dabble a bit with cubase and have set up a home "recording studio" with some midi/audio gear connected to pc.
Regards, Michael

Hi Michael, you are in the right place where you'll get all the help you want when ever you want.
What's this stuff about lack of confidence >? Didn't you see through 59 years of your life ? Obviously you had confidence to be where you are. Dont let us hear that word again - its not your vocabulary, okay ?
'm sure you have midi files from MidiMart - play them and sing along and ..............there you have it !!! Have a BBQ at home and surprise your neighbours with a song or two.
Upload your best song and give us a listen to, ok ?
Cheers and welcome aboard

Thank you all for making me feel so welcome. Jacqui, I'm living in Dublin. Shyamwestwind, I don't know how to upload yet as I'm a latecomer to "techieland" but if and when I figure it out I'll try to upload an mp3 of me singing (ugh!).

Hey Michael, welcome to MidiMart. Great folks, great music, great support - doesn't get much better than that! I'm just the opposite from you - I play by ear and can barely read sheet music, so MidiMart is a lifesaver for me.

Hi Steve
Thanks for your comments. I use a Korg PA800 which is only a few months old. So I'm just having fun learning.
