Hello, and it's good to be part of the MidiMart scene. I've been checking out the MidiMart files for about a year now, and always found them to be excellent-and free! But not anymore. It's a small price to pay to get access to so many crackin' midi files. I'm one of the older guys who did the cabaret scene, mainly in Scotland for the best part of 40 years. I never ever used anything but live bands, but times have changed, and I decided to go one out about 10 years ago,and have never regretted it. My main music was Country, but have now added hits from the 50's, 60's etc. etc. I also play accoustic/electric guitar, and sing. Also good to see members from Queensland, Australia. I have played in the SE Queensland area on several occasions as a solo, and also with my brother, Ronnie. Bye for now, Pete.

Hi Pete and welcome to the forum. Thanks for finally deciding to become a part of our little mad music/midi community after a whole year Good to see you are now doing the classics from the 50s and 60s, I find these still, and probably always will, go do down extremely well at gigs. Again welcome and if you have any questions or concerns just ask. We use to shoot people for asking questions but we have moved on - since we found out it is against the law!

Hi Pete, A warm South East Qld welcome. So what part of south east Qld did you play? Familiar with Kingaroy??? You have certainly made the right move by joining the 'midimart family'. Regards, Lyn

Wow, and a big thanks to all who have welcomed me, especially from so many Queenslanders. My brother, Ronnie Christie is very well known as an RSL entertainer, and he creates his own midis using a QY 700 ( I think). On several visits to the area I have worked with him and visited the fantastic clubs you have there in Q/L, mainly Broncos, Redlands Sports, Redcliffe leagues. Our music is geared towards the (ahem), older age group, but it is well received by all ages. If you Queenslanders come across Ronnie, tell him you heard about him on this forum. In the meantime from Ayrshire, Scotland -- awraverybest! Pete

Thanks yet again to all who are continuing to welcome me to this great forum, and of course to the MidiMart site. Also to you guys who look after the site - you are doing a great job and producing first class midi files. From a Scot who doesn't really like parting with money ---- IT'S BEEN WORTH IT!
