hi, another granite city ageing hippie hits this fabulous website. I have frequented this site for quite some time but never got round to joining the forum and it was only after recommending it to my good friend and work colleague (weeo) that I became aware of all the talented people that subscribe to the forum, including an old friend from N.Z.(thingy). Well, what about me?. I play guitar badly and keyboards not too bad using the single finger chords and my only claim to any semblance of fame was back in the eighties when writing comedy scripts for the local radio station, I produced a take- off of the eurovision song contest called the doricvision song contest which was mainly parodies of famous songs with a few of my own local humour compositions thrown in ,which surprisingly sold well and is still in the shops to this day.I love the sixties music,(beatles, orbison,ballads)but I suppose my favourite band has to be the kinks mainly because of the songwriting and lyrics of the one and only mr. Ray Davies .As far as 'playing' and live gigs I seldom trespass into the real perfomer's domain only restricting myself to cameo appearances when I do 'hits' on poor unsuspecting victims at birthday bashes,anniversaries e.t.c.(think, the drunken uncle 'do you think i'm sexy'/texas chainsaw murderer film).So ,if your are still awake ,thats me .I look forward to corresponding with the many talented musicians at Midimart.

hellorer big man and welcome to the best group of people on the net----you finally got here!!
To the rest of the guys and gals out there,big Mike has been a pal for many years and i hope he posts some of his recordings on the members lounge--they are very clever (and very funny )
Mind you ,if you don't come from Scotland you may need a translation of the "doric" language but i'll be happy to oblige.
