I've been looking for a long time for a group of like minded individuals. Although calling me a Musician would be a gross overstatement, I do own two guitars (one acoustic, one electric,), which I play rather poorly. I've become addicted to midis, over the years, and my ability to alter and have fun with them in a musical way. Todays count was 13109 files. Addicted!? Anyway, my forte is software. Not so much writing it but making it work. I could be of service in that area. I'll also checkout the requests area to see if I have the requested files in my collection. Some could be pretty rough! Oh, I'm 51 and pretty much grew up on hard rock, but thoughly enjoy all the musical forms. Bluegrass being my obsession at the moment. What I do for a living? : Freelance Website programming and Systems consultant. To the Midimart people: Great site and really excellant midis!!! Wish they had the melody lines though, as I'm a really lousy singer. Hoping to expand my horizons, Jerry

Hi Jerry, Happy new year and welcome to the forum. 51, eh? A baby I will be 49 next March so not that far behind you Yes the midis are a great way to go. I have been in the music for 30 years but I stopped gigging altogether a few years back until I discovered the joys of using midis and haven't looked back since I have over 5000 files at my disposal so can change my repertoire anytime my songs seem a bit stale. Anyway enjoy your visits

Hi Jerry.
Welcome to our little forum. I'm planning on re-vamping the main site this year, maybe you can give me a few pointers in this venture.
As for the midi's, I'm sure someone will request a file that we can't get hold of and looking at your archive, you may have a copy....
Have yourself a listen to the mp3's also, as they can be a good alternative to midi - especially for practicing with.
Put up your website url so others can take a look at what you do....

Thank You everybody for such a warm welcome! After reading a good portion of the posts here, I don't feel alone in my enthusiasm for the midi format! I thought I would never find a group of people that connect on this level, so cool! midimart - Back in October, I loaded a new version of my site using DotNetNuke as the websites CMS. Though still not finished, if you want to check it out. Here's the url. www.musiccritic.orgJust remember, I said website "programmer", not website "designer". I do so envy those that have those creative juices flowing! Jerry
