G'day, Left school at 16 with a guitar and Marshall amp to pursue the rock and roll dream. I've just turned 40 and along the way I've gone from playing ful-time to taking an "honest" engineering job, having a family and am now back into playing again. I play a mix of sequenced and non-backing music from fingerstyle blues through to contemporary dance tracks in solo, duo & trio format. I use a Yamaha QY700 live but am considering recording my sequences, adding real guitar & backing vox and compressing to normalised mp3 format for ease of use live. This seems like the forum I've been looking for. I have hundreds of midi files (as I would imagine all on this forum would) and am only to happy to fwd the quality sifted and XG format files to those who want them. Regards, Rod

G'day Rod Welcome aboard, the aussie contingent is getting stronger!
Where abouts in Australia are you from? There are a few of us here from Sydney and the central coast and I think one or two from Melbourne.
Cheers John

Hi Rod.... welcome to our little hiding place... Yep, I think you have arrived at the right place..... Was there much heartache on the way here? Thank you for your offer of midi files, if you see a request then hop in there mate and post the file if you have it. Enjoy, and glad you like the mp3's section too.

Am I the only one from Tassie, I hope not....I also use a QY700 but have just recently transfered all my sequences over to minidisc and added live guitar, sound heaps better. I started as a drummer at 14 but switched over to singing at 16..never looked back. Used to be a surveyor but now a fulltime muso
