One way of making life easier on yourself is to find files that contain drums with the same 'beat' or style that you'd like on the tune you are programming and 'stealing' the drums from that file and pasting them into your new file. Then it's a matter of editing the existing drumtrack to fit your tune. by moving fills, or just writing new ones where needed.

Hello strawbs1949, I can across this old post and was wodering how are you making out with the your drum programming and your sequencing in general. If I can assist/help you in any ways don't hesitate to ask.
To the forum: I apologize if I don't get to post/help out that often. I have a family situation, long story short, I almost lost my wife in a car accident (will be a year at the end of this month) and still not able to walk, have 4 children to take care of and work night shift. So please bare with me.
Thank you GSPro
