Hi Steve and Welcome to the Forum. You'll find our gathering a mine of information so just pitch in with everyone else and good luck. You can check out your first query in the Tech Questions board. Sorry I moved it from the Members board, which I hasten to add can be used by your good self to promote your own talents or listen to other members performances.
Cheers my friend.

Hi and welcome Steve.
Do you just collect or do you perform in any way, even in front of the family.
The only Cougars I have heard of is John Cougar Mellancamp. Or am I completely on the wrong side of the rails here.
Have a great stay with us and again welcome.

Hi Steve
If you can name a few songs The Cougars played. It might jog a few peoples memories. Their name certainly rings a bell for me. Have a great time here on the forum regards Mark

hi it,s oldsage the cougars where a british group back in theb 60,s.there one and only hit was saturday nite at the duck pond.this was a rock instrumental of swan lake, something along the lines of the ventures.2 weeks ago by pure chance they played live at our local hotel in totnes devon, this was for a festival night dance.these guys are now in there 60,s but ooh boy can they play.yes i used to perform back in the60,s,and in the 70,s in nottingham!.i group was called miami keys.one of our singers came out of city gate.now i just play at home to the family for the pure pleasure of it.i love doing shadows songs 50,s 60,s and any old ballad, plus i like the old country from around the late 60,s.i use and old program called evolution sound studio pro this can do virtually any thing with a midi file from pitch bends, chorus, reverb even take out multiple instuments on one track.or put them in.you can write to the traks via drumroll.it also incorporates it,s own virtual keyboard to write a backing track.my soundblaster card has just gone up it,so i have purchased a creative x-fi music extreme sound card.wow would be to little to describe it.and i dont have enough time to.but it can do anything.even record from a 3d virtual midi where you can have any of the instuments move on there own every which way.and record if you want to 24bit mp3 file or wave or to a midi file with enhancements. i,ll be doing some more midi,s soon to send in.do you want songs with a lead or just as a backing track.i think i have approx 300 midi,s on my hard drive.what i would like is someone who can find out the chords if they can for saturday night at tthe duck pond so i can have a go at writing it.well i hope that has answered some questions my poor fingers are aching now, ahhrr i know i,m getting on a bit. ta ta for now many thanks oldsage

Hi Oldsage Saturday night at the DuckPond, debuted the charts 28th Feb 1963 and peaked at number 33. Must rummage around for a copy and if I can come up with the chord work I'll keep you posted. Cheers BTW here's the mp3. You can download it from my folder www.4shared.com/dir/475905/1ff53073/sharing.html
