Hi everyone. My name is Helen and I'm a music teacher in the south of England. I primarily teach piano at home using an Kawai upright acoustic and a Clavinova CVP at home and at the school where I work part time.
I've just been having a mooch around the site and downloaded a couple of midis. Wow. What a fantastic resource! This is wonderful.
I do have a request, so I'll pop along to the next room to see if anyone can help.

Hi Helen and welcome.
We have a few music teachers on this forum, both from home and schools. It's good to know we have people like you teaching the youngsters and oldies to keep the music in our lives alive.
Looking forward to reading your posts.

I'm totally gob smacked banner.... It plays in everything I have got, have you tried playing it on your PC. I know the sound will not be the same but at least you will know it works. I use, Cakewalk, Cubase, VSC, Sonar, Fruity Loops, Sonic, Winamp, Anvil, Vanbasco, Jazz among others and many free stand alone apps. It works in them all. Does your keyboard accept midi file 0 only or does it accept both file type 0 and file type 1? Does anyone else have any problems with this file? P.S. Terry could you please refrain from using "upper case" for your total posts as this is considered offensive to some.... In SMS text services or emailing or chatting, it means you are shouting.

Hi I've downloaded it again and it works fine, it must have been a bad disc (although it was new). I'm very sorry for using upper case I didn't mean to be offensive I just find this easier to read with my dodgy eyes Regards Terry

Hi Paul and welcome to the foum' Transfering midi files to CD is easy, but first you will need to convert them to MP3s. Try midimeow. Here's the link: meow-prod.com/midi_to_wav_ogg_mp3_converter_en_100.html

Hi Paul,
We are all still in the learning process. Midi is so very complicated and frustrating at times. Most user's of sequencers and programs only scratch the surface of them. There is so much more going on behind the scenes of these programs.
As for burning to CD, just follow Pat's advice, and convert midi into Wav or Mp3 first. Mp3 is better as it is a compacted file rather than just the full recording (Wav) which is much larger in file size.
