Dear Members,
This is just to inform you that contrary to what some of you may hear we have absolutely no objection to any of you wishing to visit or join Paul’s new forum. As I have said before, we believe all avenues should be explored in the search for good, quality midi files.
What we’re not going to do is get involved in any public slanging matches as we feel such an approach is counterproductive and only helps keep the flames of misunderstanding burning.
We are still very hopeful that the current negativity shown towards the MidiMart administration will eventually cease and that the two forums will reach a stage where everyone can work together for the mutual benefit of all concerned.
But it is sad to note that unfortunately there are still some on that forum who are finding it difficult to move beyond their present state of mind, but even so we are optimistic that eventually wiser heads will prevail and that one day we can all move forward together.
I ask that none of our members get into any "tit for tat" exchanges as doing so would be unhelpful.
We wish Paul and everyone on his forum the very best for the future.

Pat, It was only a matter of time before we had to have Midimart post a reply on this subject. The wording is excellent and I am sure reflects an honest approach to this competition. If Midimart ever believed that no one would challenge its position in the top league of midi files I think they would have been burying their head in the sand. "Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery" I think is an oft used phrase. I suspect that I, like many others, were surprised to be "head hunted" via email drops from Paul, and I can only say that I will visit his sight (as I do others) and make my own mind up as to the quality of the goods. I do however take exception to being slightly browbeaten in the process as to the rather harsh vernacular that I have been ripped off for my membership monies. Over the time that I have been involved with Midimart I can say that my small fee has been repaid a billion times. You only have to look through my requests to see the fullfilment that has been posted to me from other members. It also,(the fee) compensates in my mind, the little contribution I have been able to give back in return. We are not all whiz kids on the computer, nor are we all in possesion of thousands of midi files, so to me, the membership fee is fully justified. As for Paul...well, I think he should be congratulated in setting up his own enterprise and going for a principle that he believes in. Although I didn't actually avail myself to any of his technical output that was here on Midimart, I was aware of it and was pleased to see another branch open up to give assistance. It made MIdimart even stronger. Lets forget the bickering and go foreward into another day. Life is far too short...and lets also remember that there are far worse things happening in this world than a few ill chosen words over midi files. Cheers (to both sites), Rossi

Thanks for that wonderful post rossi, some very sensible comments and much food for thought.
I am happy to say that myself and Paul have decided in the interest of all concerned and for the sake of harmony between our two forums to put our apparent differences behind us so that all members - from both sites - can move forward together.
Paul, and ever member of his forum, is welcome to visit and participate on our ours whenever they wish, as are our members free to visit and join his.
Such inter-visitations and mutual understanding between our two communities, communities who share the same passion and appreciation for all things midi, will only strengthen us as a whole and improve all our chances of obtaining much sought after files.
So let's now put any and all previous negativity and misunderstandings behind us and let's, as the song says, Push Things Forward!

Guys, you dont know how very happy you have made me !! I just cant stand bickerings and any sort of animosity. As Rossi rightly said, life is too short to waste on such things and when its so much happier to be friends, why spoil the ride ? Pat and Paul, let me shake your hands.......you've risen to the heights we expected you to . I will sleep easier tonight.!
