I along with lots of other members have a lot of requests now in the Hard To Find Requests Section although I look through it occasionally, it's not viewed as much as the latest requests section. I noticed Infolena recently suggested a list in alphabetical order, which I think is a good idea, I was also wondering if some of these requests could be shown again the the New Requests Section, maybe just for a couple of weeks again, as there are always new people joining and acquiring new files all the time, and it would be a second Chance to try for the midi request again. Interesting suggestion, Jacqui. You may well have a good point so we'll look into your recommendation.
I'd like in the meantime to hear how others feel.
I should point out, however, that we don't have an automatic way of rearranging any requests so they are in alphabetic order, but allowing them to remain in the main request area might be a way to go.

I'd like people tp be able to request tunes again. Sometimes an old request is so far back in time people don't see it. Same for hard to find requests. Agreed about keeping the hard to fills in with the main. Thought that was a bad idea anyway as any request that isn't filled could be considered 'hard to find', and all it did was create another board to have to sift thru.

Trying different approaches to see what could work is part of the norm in the initial stages of any forum, sometimes we get it right, sometimes we don't. But ultimately we do get things as good as they can be and here the suggestions area is proving an invaluable source in aiding us make those improvements the majority of our members will appreciate.
We do appreciate all suggestions and act upon those we feel will add to member's enjoyment. But the one thing we are learning more and more is that no matter what we do to make things better there will always some who will never be happy!

If any members have had no luck in finding midis, why not just delete their original request in the "Hard to find" section, and re-request it in the "Request a midi" area. That way members who do look through the "Hard to find" section are not put out either. Its not a big job to have to do, and the proverbial apple cart does not have to make an appearance!!

Thats a great idea Gerry, ;D ;D But I would still keep the "Hard to find requests (HTF)" area and when a request is in this area for a while say 2 months, then it would be up to the member that requested the file in the first place to monitor its progress delete it from the HTF section and repost. Another thought, could members that have had requests filled by E-Mail please post in the "original request" that it is filled. Then we know to place it in the Requests filled area. Larry
