Backing .mids

Hi All !

I have an inkling of an idea that may (or may not! ;D) appeal to 'The Management' and Members.

Like most of the members, I download the backing files from here that suit the genre I perform. In my case only about 2 or 3 a week, as I am not really into the more current 'Pop' Music, as I perform more for Dancing (Waltzes, Quicksteps, Etc.), and 'Singalongs'. There surely is, in a week, several songs for all of us, whatever our taste.

I just think it would be great if there was a section, where those of us who use backing trax from MidiMart, could post our .mids or Mp3s of our performances using tracks made by MM. I am sure we could all learn a lot from such postings, and it would give everyone an insight of what members do with these excellent trax.

What do you think? (Or am I as barking mad as my dogs!)

I was really meaning to separate the ones using Midi Mart Backings, so that we can hear what members are actually doing with them.

Point taken, Tony but if the member was to simply state that their recording was using the midimart backings then we'd know anyway..........?

Paul makes a good point, simply post your recording and state that you have used a MidiMart File.

However myself and I'm sure a great many other of the mebers here do a fair amount of tweaking to the Midi's to suit our individual needs and tastes before using them so the point would be pretty useless!
