Since moving over here to the Canary Isles, I never actually played Christmas Day in the UK. I used to look forward to a day of rest and merriment. However, for the last eleven years or so I have done Christmas day night as it is expected of you. I now find myself doing Christmas Day dinner as well this year. Yeah...I can hear you saying...Think of the money. I must admit that was a kind of insentive. Everyone of us has a price. My son in law is also working over the Christmas period, so our families have decided to celebrate the festive period in the middle of January. It has it's benefits as well. Everything is cheaper in the shops after Christmas. Why can I hear you saying Scrooge? Anyway, enough of my moaning...here is the main point. My boss wants me to dress up in gaudy red and white clothing whilst belting out Slade and other usual ditties. Also he wants to deck my keyboard, not with holly, but hundreds of twinkling lights. Maybe I need to join a union of Christmas Haters for help.
Now...I know we have a photo gallery, but what about a special one for December? There must be other muso's in the same predicament as me. We need evidence of us all being abused and made to look ridiculous, then maybe this silly season will abate. What do you think? Mind you, then we wouldn't make as much money! Might have to rethink that one! Rossi.

Hi kids
I love Xmas, it's my favourite time of year. I love it it for all the slush that some others hate. The TV films, silly songs on the radio, freezing snow, cold nights, fog etc etc etc I love Christmas Eve with my family, nice meal, a few jars and fun with my grandson. I guess I'm a lucky guy and feel for those who can't share the same experiences. This year I'll be in the Knockagh Lodge in Greenisland over Xmas. It's a great family spot. BUT before all that I'm of to AYIA NAPA this Friday for 2 weeks.
bye bye

Asking for tips for Christmas? Sounds like the Bin Men!!! Whereabouts is Playa de Ingles? Is It Lanzarote? By the way, quich call to you Jimmy G, I actually do enjoy Christmas...not that we'll get any of that slush stuff over here, although mount Teide does usually get snow at this time of year. Best of both worlds...sun at the coastline and snow up the top.
I'll be gigging in Los Gigantes Boxing day, whilst every other day I'll be on Golf Del Sur working the three main bars down there. Roll on January...Sorry Jimmy!

Its strange that you've brought that subject up...cos I used to rehearse loads of Xmas stuff then find that I'd not use half of it. It used to bug me that I'd go out of my way and spend loads of time doing material that you could only use once a year...Lazyiness I suppose. We do actually get a big influx of people coming over after Xmas day to bring in the New Year, so, yes I suppose the party does seem to go on and on...and on. Salute, Rossi
PS. The Canarians actually have Xmas day on January 6th.
