Hi, anyone know much about Ketron SD2 Orchestral Wizard Sound module ?.Been recommended it as being far "superior" to Yamaha/Roland Sounds.I have heard some demo`s of it from clips on Ketron website and it does sound good.I`ve been using a Yamaha QY100 but the sounds on the Ketron , particularly brass/guitars sound better.Anyone got any info on it or other suggestions ? Thanks Dave

Hi Dave, I am currently using a roland JV1080 sound module. I know its an older module but I have not heard anything that sounds better thats worth buying. I've been waiting for somebody to make one that has a decent gtr sound so the Ketron SD2 sounds like it might bear investigating. civicman

Hi Boing ! I have to ask first for what will You using sound module - just for play at home for preparing at home or as a second sound roots for working on stage . Will better if You can check the sound in music store , trying many possibilities in connections with sequencer and another modules , because only listen demo from net will not say the whole true . ALWAYS DEMO SOUNDING BETTER !!!!
My long experience with sounds modules show me what is most important thing during working on stage with modules . 1. Polyphony - now 64 voices is standard for professional modules 2.outputs must be minimum 4 ( 2 X 2 ) but better when is 6 ( 3 X 2 ) because is completely different sound when You'll play drums and bass line thrue another output then normally stereo , just try - check it out . 3.The module sounding good with another keyboard , because never happen that on one modules everything sounding perfect , some instruments may sounding worth some better .
I'm using always keyboard + module , then I need 4 stereo inputs in mixing console , but the sound is really good . Of course it need long time to prepare all songs to separate outputs plus checking which instrument from where , but the finally effect give lot of satisfaction Lucky
