There are quite a few of our earlier MidiMart members who cannot be traced and who have "crossed to the other side" Even I have peeped in but decided I couldnt handle "dual citizenship" and definitely not any mud slinging, so I just sat back in the comfort and warmth of MidiMart. Some needlessly got into skirmishes with our moderators and members and got barred from our Forum. I am sure these were all minor stuff and I wish we could bring back these friends to our fold. If I had the personal emails of such "prodigals" I would love to lead them home.

Shyam...
In an ideal world, we would all live in harmony.....
But alas, that is life.

Yes Glenn it may not always be possible in this cruel selfish world of ours, but its mainly because we lose faith in our capabilty to reach out to our adversaries and we let ourselves continue to live without them. Personally, I have had many an opportunity of bringing people together and it is indeed, great pleasure to see and hear them laugh at their follies. We need to appreciate those magical words "Sorry" and "Thank You" and the rest is a cinch. Honestly Glenn, I dont have any enemies because I dont let them be and if there are any, I will search them out and embarass them to be my friend again. I have nothing to lose but we have everything to gain.

Excellent words of wisdom folks!
An observation though if I may. I belong to many forums: Home theater, professional musicians, computer tech sites, speaker design. This is the one and only forum where if you don't chime in once in a while you get the boot. Gee, some of these forums I belong to, there is no need to contribute for months a time until there is a topic of interest where you can help a fellow member. As I understand the policy here, you are on probation for lack of use. Am I wrong about the rules? Not exactly the welcome mat I counted on. Just a thought......Lee

Lee, though I'm a regular "postman" to the forum and though I will never be arrested for lack of use, I do kinda feel the rule in question is rather rigid and I think there should be a rethink on this and a little more give. Having said that I cant help but ask as to why you cant post in . We would love to hear your view points and hear about your experiences. As a member of so many interesting forums,we would love to hear you , Lee. Please drop by and share with us, whatever you have and we'll be happy to do the same. If, once in a way you are just forgetful, or lazy, or under the weather, I'm sure the moderators will understand. Now SMILE, Lee and lets hear you !!!!!!!

It was initially intended to be used temporarily to entice new members to get use to contributing on a regular basis but there may be no need to continue with this approach much longer. Expect some news on this in the not too distant future.

If a change on this policy is in the pipe line I for one would welcome it. I prefer to post only on matters that I find of interest, or to start a thread that I think others may find interesting. Sometimes I find myself posting the odd gag on the jokes section just to stay "legal". Surely that's not what this forum is all about.
Shyam, you're a ray of sunshine my friend, I wish a lot more of us had the same approach to life that you have.

Thank you guys for your compliments. Actually, I have many a dark, morose moment in my day and I grumble and nearly blow my top and nearly act unreasonable, but I always ponder for a few minutes before I let the steam off and at the end of the few minutes, the steam kinda turns into a rainbow and I smile, but well there are times when the steam remains as steam, but those around me are kind enough to let me be. Cheers Everyone ........... now lets search for those missing members and prodigals and bring them home. Presently I'm after Guilty and I hope to bring him back . I'll need support from the Aministration when that happens !!

Shyam, I'm pretty sure Guilty opted out of MM or was removed for some reason. He's still playing with his duo (The Guilty Party) and doing fine. I'm sure he'll eventually come back when he's ready or forgiven his trespasses. Cheers, Dave.

Many thanks for the clarifications folks! I'm glad to see the policy is under review and I certainly understand the need for supporting a forum on a regular basis. Its membership often depends on input from those who are "in the know". I really love reading the various sections of this forum and although I don't do a lot of MIDI anymore, I'd be glad to chime in where possible. (Most of my recording is done on audio tracks.)
Many thanks to all for the kind words.....Lee

Hi Dave Happy to hear that the "The Guilty Party" is still swinging. Being in the Forum for so long, I get to miss people when I dont see them around, especially thise who post in or respond to posts. Guilty was good at that and kept contact, so we miss him !! Hope to get him back amongst us.

Hi Shyam, W all blow our tops every now and then. If we didn't we wouldn't be human, now would we? It's just part of our nature. Hopefully we as individuals, can keep it to a minimum but sometimes even the most easy going person just has to blow off some steam every now and then.

Aw!!!!!!!!!! So sweet of you guys . I've just returned from a trip to the hills (had a programme at a Golf Club there) and had a rough time, slipping and falling in a bathroom enroute, so I'm kind of immobile for now with aches and pains. Hope to get back to "normalcy" soon. I think I'll sit and record a song in the interim and send it to Members Stage and I hope it doesnt sound too lame !!!!! lol
