Hi guys The PSR 3000 music stand support is so fragile and weak, it just does not hold the weight of a book and lately I noticed a wee crack in the slot. I wish Yamaha would make a better arrangement to hold the music stand together. In the mean while I think I'll reinforce theentire slot with an additional support. Its my keyboard so I guess Ill remodel it to suit my needs Any suggestions ?

I just set up a foldable music stand a little off to the side tha is sturdy enough to hold whatever. It also doesn't block me from the audience.
I am considering bonding some hard vynel or some sort of bullet proof material that is attractive to the flimsy areas of the boards to protect them from dings and cracks.
So far I have managed to keep them from harms way. However, sometimes after a long night the guys in the band are ready to split and get motavated to assist and work hard at trying to ding my boards. I always make sure that I braek them down and put them in my hard cases along with my sax. Just a real bad design from Yahama on these. Too bad..they really work better than anything else I can justify from the investment end of things.
