Can the vocal harmoniser be activated by midi. Does the vocal harmoniser operate in note and chord mode. Thanks for any info.

Thingy,
I use a Digitech Vocalist II and yes I activate it via midi. I use my harmonizer in note harmony in vocoder mode. But it is not the only way to use it's functions. I'm sure most harmonizers on the market have various ways to implement harmony.

I am currently using Voiceworks but I want to know about the one incorporated in the latest Yamaha keyboards.

Thingy, The vocal harmony cannot be triggered by midi in the Tyros, however it is quite easy to hit the VH button, and use all the variants, whilst the midi is playing, ie 2 & 3 Part Male or Female, Country Ladies, Micky Mouse, etc, etc. While the mid is playing, of course, you use the keyboard without any voice selected, and hit the chords you want the harmony in. Here is a good example of using the VH on the Tyros 2 by my good friend, Scott Yee, who lives in the San Francisco Bay area in America - a talented full-time Pro. www.4shared.com/file/13152835/5059fadc/Too_Fat_Polka.htmlKind regards Tony
