The scariest three words !! Fortunately it has not happened too often and very very fortunately the second keyboard player was always there to bail me out, but I dread to think of this happening when you're entirely dependent on your Midi Backing. I'm so happy my tryst with floppies is over.I now have a smart card (though I wonder if it can be trusted enough) but I also have my 1 GB USB Flash drive so I presume I'm safe. Have any of you faced these scary situations ? Aaaah, those days with a full LIVE band !! With five guys aboard, nothing ever stops the music, no snapped strings, no torn drums, no slipped spring drum pedals. The music played on and it was oh so much fun !!

One of the worst things to happen is to get stuck in the middle of a song with the midi file hitting a sustain note....... its worse than not being able to start the song.

My credos:
Back up everything - certainly your music, and your gear if you can. Dry run everything. Back up everything.
Oh, and take your backup with you :-)
