Any recommendations for a sound card or sound module with a good selection of decent guitar sounds that can handle transpositions without sounding like a japaneese disco. At the moment I am using a parrallel port with a Yamaha TG 100.It real agony trying to plug in a mini jack from the laptop into the TG100.

Try an external sound module..... I use the Edirol SD-80 but they do a lite version with XG and midi2 called the SD-20.... Not cheap but very good.... £175 - £225
