my opinion of ASIO4all is simple. IF the cards were meant to be ran in ASIO, the manufacturer would have a driver for it.
this, in the near future, could result in the timing crystal on your sound card burning out. what happens is, instead of dumping "X" amount of samples to your card, it multiplies the sample rate way beyond what the card can do, end result being the crystal burning out.
you can pick up a OEM audigy 4 for under 50 squids............. that's a couple of pints down the local

sorry paul but i dont agree!.i have used asio4all , found it quite handy, but use it for what it is for!.i have a behringer umx49 controller keyboard, which is a controller that can be used in the normal way using usb,but more important, when plugging in the midi out cable can also use a bank of built in sounds, just like a sound card.when i use this in conjunction with vsc3 which has a latency of 435 ,and use the dxi vsc which has approx half this .this little prog allows me to set a latency that all 3 can use compatibly.when i am finished recording i simply switch it off,and revert back to the creative asio driver.this program came with my keyboard to be used with ableton 4.so far my setup has had no problems,it just allows multiple setups to merge more effectively.for normal everyday use though use your standard asio! best regards steve
