Some photos taken during my recent vacation to southwest Florida (clicking on thumbnails will link to larger image): Views like this one at sunset from the balcony of the inn I stayed in on Sanibel Island made it hard to come home  Me and fish caught on beach of Sanibel Island  Patience, the Grand Banks trawler I bareboat chartered for 5 days, at the dock on Cabbage Key  At the upper helm of Patience The bar at Cabbage Key. This is the place Jimmy Buffet was writing about in the song Cheeseburger In Paradise. The walls are "wallpapered" in currency, including a dollar bill signed by Buffet.  |

Thanx for the compliments on the photos. I really had a great time. The "fabulously wealthy" will be paying off credit card debt for a while, Pat.  Glenn, I would think we'd have wonderful craic if we could hook up next time!  |

Alan I'm envious (BTW - seeing as I'm from country Queensland, OZ - what's all that blue wet stuff in your piccies (to put that into context - my area has been in a drought for the past 8 years... Thanks for the photos - I'm always one to live vicariously through others (lol) Warren |

Hi Warren,
I'm not sure, but I think if you go on walkabout, cross the Great Dividing Range, & end up near Cairns, Townsville, Mackay or Rockhampton and look eastward, you will see the same "blue wet stuff" that is somehow connected to what's in my photos. ;D

Hi Cat. I have been to San Diego before, this was in 1987. I was with my ex-wife and we were heading down to Tijuana, Mexico. But you be if we can get down there I would love the opportunity to meet up.
