The credit card facility is there for quick donations as many have recognised credit cards..... But there are many other ways to donate....

i was away touring and only just returned tot eh forum I'm very happy to see there is finally a way to make a donation to the up keep of the main site. i will be shoving in a few dolars now and again, not much just a few to help towards costs. As i said i was a way giging and used many of the files I got on the main site that i got for free and its only right i pay a little in return for the kndness shown me.

I love the fact that the option is there to donate. We personally have been doing little gigs at Retirement home type venues around Adelaide in South Australia for about ten years and in all that time have never charged a cent. Our audiences have paid their dues for seventy years or so and we figure we can do something to brighten up their twilight years. And I don't mean with tunes of the Daisy Daisy sort. We give them tunes with melodies, big band, swing, a few modern ballads, a bit of A L Webber. My wife isn't Barbara Striesand but she ain't no slouch either, and between us we put on a creditable show. When we started the kids were little and now they join in with items of their own. We've added a team of swing dancers, a schmick trumpeter and a lass who sings just like Blossom Dearie - Who's That? I hear you say -she said it too but she's only 18 and so she has an excuse - seek and you shall find, you'll thank me one day - anyway - so there can be anything up to a dozen of us at any particular gig, no-one being paid a cracker. And so to have a resource who shares our philosophy of being generous and not charging, makes it possible for us to vary our program fairly frequently. Now and again it happens that a donation to us is made, and up till now we have generally used it to up-date a few leads (arghhh), or Shepheards Purse et al, but with the voluntary donation option, we will now be able to include MM in our cycle. Your tracks are a good part of our presentation, and contribute greatly to the audience's appreciation and Jazzcat's tweeking is the icing on the cake - Nev
