DANCING BANNED IN BANGALORE !!!!

Hi Everyone
Can you believe this ........Dancing has been banned in Bangalore !!!!.
First it was a ban on LIVE music and now this.!!!!! Can anyone imagine not being able to dance while the Band or the DJ plays your favourite music ?
The law banned all "cabaret" which included the cabaret girls and the bands accompanying them. The bands usually played "bollywood" music and the girls were actually hookers and it was a law and order problem.
The cabaret management devised a clever strategy and called the hookers , "lady crooners" and they had these bands accompanying these "crooners"
The law got wise and saw through this and banned all "LIVE" bands which sadly, included musicians like us ! Eventually, after labelling ourselves "Western Music Bands" we kept on performing. The DJs played their music and the people danced !
The Cabaret management got riled and questioned the authorities about permitting dancing when their dancers were banned from doing so, hence the latest law ....... NO DANCING !!!
Actually there are valid explanations and interpretations and anyone can justify his or stand on this, but this vibrant city now has no night life at all.
I dont sing Chris Rea's " Lets Dance" anymore !!!

That is a shame shyam, the world has gone mad!!

I would'nt be surprised if a ban like that was enforced here in Ireland shortly by Teflon Bertie and his cronies, they seem to be banning everything else, (apart from the massive pay increases awarded to them)!!

How absolutely ridiculous can you get, but then again I'm surprised that dancing hasn't been banned here under Health and Safety Laws, just in case you might injure yourself.

I have never been known to use bad words and I wonder how many of these are now stuck in my throat, all waiting to blow out !!!!!!!! Its really stupid and illogical. I have asked all my friends to discuss this and to hire a fiery lawyer to take the issue to court . Atleast, we might get a stay order and till a ruling is heard, we can have the dancers back on the floor and we can play our music for them.

Oh Shyam,
Isn't this just the usual insanity. One person or a small group do something stupid and the politicians react by banning it for everyone. It just shows how many, or rather few, grey cells the average politician has locked up in their skulls! My father had a saying for them "solid ivory from the neck up!" My sympathies to you. The Lord (whichever one you believe in) protect us from politicians.
