I play in a 4 piece band from Bristol, UK(well, some one has to live there)!!. We are a covers band and as such, do not specialize in any one form of music. However, we do a mean vocal harmony act. We are fully (weekend) booked through this year and beginning of next. We are all, by our own admission, going round the block for the umpteenth time, and as this could be the last band we all ever play in, so would like to play abroad before it's too late. We don't want to spend months away(family commitments etc) but maybe a very long week end (or say, Wednesday to Wednesday). We don't use agents as venues always re-book us, which can only be a good thing, therefore have no idea of who to contact to make this happen. Anyone have any ideas ? Regards, Lennon.

First put a couple of songs together (ideally with video) on YouTube or MySpace or your own website, if you have one. Pick where you want to play abroad (say Amsterdam, Hamburg etc) go on the Internet and find the local gig guide and then phone or email a heap of pubs, pointing them to your site(s) so that they can get an idea of the band. Just a case of sorting out the Euros and plugging away at it. Once you have a gig it is easier to tout the other clubs around and promote yourself to them. Rockabilly
