The TX81z can do chordal harmonies in any voicing but there is a limitation you can only create one harmony in one key. If you need to create all 12 harmonies, here's the easy way to do it... The TX will only let you create one template scale in one key. Here is how you get around it... Go into performance mode and load in the harmony setting (usually key of C) that you have created then transpose it to the corresponding key you want and then set the Note Shift to the opposite setting i.e. if you set the transpose at +7 then you must set the note shift at -5 to always equal 12 another example tran -6 nore shift +6 as long as the total is 12 (really it zero's out) forget the negative and postive signs and it equals 12.... and remeber you can go up to 2 octaves in either direction... You will use up 12 performances doing this but if you are doing harmonies alot it will help you quickly get the job done. Now If we could just figure out how to create more than one voicing. A few years back a company called 'Spare Change' music had a chip and an interface you could put into the TX's socket and quadruple the memory and all user settings. They are extremely hard to find but if you are good at electronics you can really get some bang for the buck on that upgrade. I think the product was called the 'TZ Quad' The good ol' TX is still very popular on eBay and if you can find one they add some nice features to any studio or live rig. Happy Programming...

More cool stuff you can do. You can set a transposition / echo so that when you play a note it goes to the scale with a pre-determined interval amount above or below creating a simple bass line or melody to compliment other notes. This is located in the manual but is not listed as a function as such you have to kind of think outside the box.
