Dear Son,
I kNOw that astroNOmy, ecoNOmics, and oceaNOgraphy are eNOugh to keep even an hoNOr student busy. Do NOt forget that the pursuit of kNOwledge is a NOble task, and you can never study eNOugh.
Love, Dad

Reminds me of the (much) earlier version:
A young student sends a telegram (remember those?) to his mother as follows:
"Dear Mum no mon no fun your son stop"
The reply comes back, from his father though:
"dear lad how sad too bad your dad stop"
The later version is more clever though. JG
