Hi Everyone
As by now you should know the quality of MidiMart.net. MidiMart.net did not exist before 2002. Previously MidiMart.net was trading as MINVEC UK. 2003 MidiMart became the sole operator of Minvec UK, we changed the name due to members of our staff leaving and new ones arriving. Ultimately Minvec Uk was disbanded and we became MidiMart.net.
It has taken many years to become what you are used to now but was worth all the effort and sweat. Our aim now is to provide as many (free) midi/mp3 to the general public/professional artiste as we can and therefore become the most powerful and professional midi site outside the commercial providers.
Some do say that the quality of MidiMart.net outweighs the commercial sites that charge a fee for the same service that we provide, I must say myself, we may not be better than the professionals, but we come a very close second.
We have got so much out of the music industry in the past so it is now our turn to give a little back. We have enjoyed the travel and many gigs, shows.
There is actually only one member of MINVEC UK still here and that is me, although sequencing is done by a group of us, the MidiMart.net site is founded and controlled by myself, so please be patient with me.
This forum was actually suggested by a good friend of mine Patrick (Emerald Midi), he then set up this forum for yourselves to get to know us and each other, swap ideas, files and all manor of great things, so a big thank you to Patrick (Emerald Midi).
Lets make MidiMart.net the top of the pile.

I play a fair bit in Kilkenny and have some friends - musician and otherwise - from the area. In fact, as we live only about 30 miles from the City (Two-mile Borris, near Thurles in Tipperary) we do a fair amount of our shopping there also

Hi, I`m new to MidiMart. I`m retired and only an amateur keyboard player - but really keen!
I bought your disc of previously issued monthly files in MP3 format and I am very impressed with the quality of the files. I`m also impressed with the service received - ordered and received the discs within 36 hours!
For other new members like me I recommend you get these discs now, you certainly won`t regret it!!!!

Hi Hugh............i am the same as you . I also took advantage of these great disks and I sure would have to agree they are really top quality. One of the best moves I made. I also use midi files but occasionally like to use mp3s as well, but only if they are of a certain standard......and these ones are in a class any professionally minded entertainer can be proud of. And Glenn..........if you have a big head its because you deserve it ;D And yep.....the service is excellent also

Hi everyone,
Yes, I agree with all of you!! Big heads must prevail here at MIDIMART when receiving accolades such as what has been written about MidiMart,Emerald Midi and the rest. You guys deserve it (take a bow ;-) This is a wonderful sight, full of great midi files, and (for me, a newbie in this thing called music) great points of reference.
So, to make my life a bit easier, can someone point me to the area where I can order these CDs which were mentioned above?? I would certainly appreciate it very much!
Take care and have a great day Rose

Hello, this is Hitbar here from Omagh in Northern Ireland. I've have played in various bands for nearly 25 years now, from Rock to Beatles covers, to Country and Pub Acts. hitbar, for anyone who may be interested is a shortened title of my band name Hit The Bar....so called because, if you want a drink in a pub, well in Ireland at least, you Hit The Bar. Well, i thought it worked!!! I enjoy working on midi's, especially at the editing stage. The pub scene in Ireland is dominated by bands using backing tracks. However, I still like to listen to and play in a live band. How is the pub scene around the world? I be interesed to know. Feel free to drop me a line

I certainly agree that there is No other Midi File site that comes near this one,Over the years I must have spent hundreds of pounds on so called professional File's from various outlets, only to find that they needed hours of tweaking to get them anywhere near good enough to use live. When I look at the stock pile that I have paid extortionate price's for over the years I could cry.Even now you can see Midi Files on the Net to buy? I should say that 9 out of 10 files from Midi Mart all I need to do is transpose, and occasionally change the odd instrument but that is only because I might prefer an acoustic guitar to a solid sounding one or an electric piano to a grand etc. Long may Glen and his team reign.

Wwwwellllllll, Not much new I can add to these posts, except a lot of dittos. I found the main site a while before I found the forum. The quality of the files kept bringing me back. Then I started peeking in here. I admit it, I was a "lurker." Saw some good questions posted, with better responses. More importantly, I found a group of folks from all over the world with a common interest, music; helping, sharing, supporting, educating and encouraging each other. After finally coming out of the lurker's shadow in the corner, I've had the opportunity to interact a little with some mighty fine folks. At the forefront are this sites' leadership. Glenn, Pat, Geraint, Cat, John, Jimmy, (sorry if I left anyone out) thanks for all you've done and are doing. {With a Southern US drawl} Cheers Mates, Alan
