Guys and Gals, I am looking for a sequencing programe that separates the drum notes ie..kick, snare hihat etc..on a separate track on the sequencer. I need it to be Roland drum notes, not Yamaha as they have different note #'. Can anybody help. I have an Atari 140ST computer with SEMPTE Track (Edit Track) that I have used for years, but it is slow compared to the newer PC's. I love it and it does everything I need it to do, but as I said it is so slow and only uses DD floppys...

Hi pdrioma. This function is available on GNmidi. Its well worth the few dollars, pounds or euros to purchase this program. There are a multitude of other functions in the software, details available @ www.gnmidi.com/

Themd21, I checked out the GNmidi program, pretty cool. However, I need a sequencer program that does the separating of the drum notes. I need to be able to see each note as in Cakewalk and Powertracks Pro. Any other suggestions and it needs to be roland drums.

Hi pdiroma
GNmidi converts your midi into a format 1 midi. You can then check out all the individual drum tracks if you load it into a sequencer. If you haven't got cakewalk, download the Midimart recommended Jazz Sequencer, available from the main site.
Best Wishes

Cakewalk has CAL programs that do that. They are free on the Cakewalk sight.
