Hey guys,
Also was looking at the Sonic Cell to use for midi backing tracks. Compared the Sonic cell to the Ketron SD2 and feature wise, the Sonic Cell has more to offer. However, if you already are using a software sequencer and just want the units for the great sounds both units produce, then the Ketron offers more bang for the buck. The samples offered on the Ketron website are really good...and the unit is about have the price of the Sonic Cell. It's just a matter of need and taste. Maybe you guys could do a similar comparison and see what you come up with.
Thanks!
Charlie

Try visiting www.absolutemusic.co.uk and in the search field on the left enter "roland sonic", without the quotes, and it'll take you to the box in question. yup 415 quid. Best deal I've seen. Thanks to Klaus for drawing it to our attention. JohnG.

My only real criticism is that in can only have 99 songs on the usb pen which is unfortunate as I have well over 200 songs. As ive mentioned on other threads about sonic cell klaus, with usb drives being cheap, why not put all your songs onto however many you need and bring them gigging, i certainly could'nt find fault with this machine.
